ChatGPT has caused a stir across the internet with its potential for easily creating content. If you’re a photographer, you’re probably wondering what benefits ChatGPT has for you.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of the idea of getting a little help creating content as we increase content production this year. So, I dove in to find the top 4 ways photographers can use ChatGPT in their business. The features were so full of potential that I had to share them with my clients and photographer friends.
Whether you blog or stick to Instagram, you will definitely want to keep scrolling!
3 Ways Photographers Can Use ChatGPT
Curating Blog Ideas
Blogging is one of the best tools you have to attract clients to your photography business. Many photographers struggle with what blog topics to write about, though. ChatGPT can help photographers find topics that potential clients are searching for online. This is a huge help for you if you’re starting or trying to maintain an active blog.
Save Time On Content Writing
Ok, I’m sure we’ve all seen the TikToks by now. Someone types a simple question or phrase into a box and ChatGPT starts writing entire paragraphs. While they’re not always 100% accurate or grammatically correct, don’t discount this feature. You can use this in your own business to write social media captions or entire blog posts.
Imagine how much time you can save!
I recommend you personalize what the chat spits out, but so far I’m happy with the results. Plus, you can ask ChatGPT questions like “what hashtags are the most searched for” for your niche or by your ideal client.
Improve Client Communication
While I’ll forever be an evangelist for email templates for photographers, by photographer business coaches (if you know, you know), ChatGPT does have some client communication solutions we could all use.
Have you ever been in a sticky situation with a client? If you’re in business long enough, everyone has at least one unpleasant client mishap. Maybe your client is upset with their photos or the time between their photoshoot and gallery delivery.
Whatever the issue, ChatGPT can help with that!
You can type detailed questions into the program and ChatGPT will spit out exactly what you could say to delicately navigate tough client conversations. Again, you should always review and add personal touches to humanize the response…but you’ll be surprised at how detailed and delicate of an email it will generate for you.
This is probably one of the most exciting features because no one (NO ONE) likes to deal with unhappy clients. Utilizing a tool to handle unpleasant conversations can really take the pressure off running your photography business.
Swining this back to a content perspective. You can also use it to help engage with your audience, find social media trendy ideas your audience will love, respond to DMs, and even reach out to potential clients. (All communication is content, right?!) Whether you’re writing a client email or a quick Instagram reply, AI can help you improve how you communicate to your clients and potential clients.
Will you be using ChatGPT to create content for your photography business?
AI assistants like ChatGPT will never replace you in your business. They’re a fun tool to play with, and the potential is definitely there to help photographers create blogs and write content. Right now, it’s too soon to tell whether it’s something that can provide significant help (worth paying money for). But I’m having a blast typing anything and everything I can think of into it.
Your turn to join the conversation. I’d love to hear if you’ve tried ChatGPT or any other AI assistant yet! How would you like to use it as a photographer?
