You know how you want to actually enjoy your wedding day but still have photos full of life and creativity? That’s what I do. I take a hands-on approach so you can just be you and live in the moments.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START YOUR BUSINESS?
I bought my first DSLR to take better photos of animals, and now I'm a full-time wedding photographer! I really enjoy seeing people's reactions to their photos and giving them tangible products so they can relive those priceless memories every day for the rest of their lives.
IF YOUR BRAND AND/OR BUSINESS HAD A PERSONALITY, HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE IT?
It's loud yet a good listener. It's classic yet not cookie-cutter. It genuinely cares about others and will always put others' wants and needs before it's own.
HOW DO YOU DIFFERENTIATE YOURSELF IN YOUR LOCAL MARKET?
My local market is more saturated with natural light/light and airy photographers, so my work naturally stands out as it's a stark contrast to most of what's out there. I also take a very hands-on approach with the photography process with my clients. In place of sending them an email with a gallery link, I sit down with them and show them what they can do with their photos and handle the entire process so they can just enjoy their new memories. Finally, I require all of them to receive print products because I truly believe in the power of printing our memories.

I want them to feel understood and that their photos actually look and feel like them. I want them to feel like they don't need to worry about a thing because they trust me.

How did you know when to "quit your day job" and go full-time with photography?
For me, it was having one full year of income (not just profit) saved up. I was a 7th grade special education math teacher so it all came down to the numbers for me!
WHEN DID YOU FEEL LIKE YOU "MADE IT" AS A PHOTOGRAPHER?
I became a MagMod ambassador in 2019 and it was a bit surreal. I had been a loyal customer and user of their products for years and them recognizing my work and supporting me has been a real dream come true. I had the honor of speaking at their booth at WPPI in March 2020 and that was the first time where I really felt like I had made it as a photographer.
What is one thing you know now that you wish you knew when you started your business?
It's 75% business and 25% photography.
WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSIONAL PURPOSE?
I want to help other photographers (and small businesses) clarify their message, automate their processes, strengthen their purpose, and earn a living doing what they love.
